This is the project from my computer illustration drawing class in FIT, 2011. This is the final project of the class; the main tool for this project is Gradient Mesh Tool.
I found out it was amazing tool in illustrator. Basically we divide in to 3 steps.

Find a 3D object, and make a photo of it, and it has to be 3 different views, the side view, top view and the front view.

We import the photos into illustrator, dim it 50%, then use the Pen Tool to outline them.

The final step is the most difficult part. We have to apply the Gradient Mesh on the outline. It took me forever to finish the whole thing. Each small part took me few hours. And I have my job, and school, so it was a pretty busy semester, after two weeks, I only could finished one view, of cause I try my best to make it look as real as I can.
